It is recorded in this further part of a series on sylvan reservoirs and vectors of Trypanosoma cruzi in Brazil (cf. preceding abstract) that a strain of T. cruzi isolated from a squirrel, Sciurus aestuans ingrami, trapped at Franca in the State of Sao Paulo was pathogenic for baby mice and rats, causing 56.7% mortality in the mice.
