Studies on the sympathetic nervous system in buffalo (Bos bubalis). Thoracic part II

, : Studies on the sympathetic nervous system in buffalo (Bos bubalis). Thoracic part II. Indian Veterinary Journal 49(4): 380-385

In the water buffalo there were usually 13 pairs of ganglia, including the stellate ganglion, which was formed by fusion of posterior cervical and 1st (and sometimes the 2nd) thoracic ganglia. It lay at the 1st intercostal space. An inconstant ramus joining the roots of 1st and 2nd intercostal nerves was present. There were two cardiac nerves on the right side and three on the left side.
