Studies on the tobacco thrips (Thrips tabaci Lind.), the vector of tomato bronze spot virus (Lycopersicum virus 3 on tobacco)

, : Studies on the tobacco thrips (Thrips tabaci Lind.), the vector of tomato bronze spot virus (Lycopersicum virus 3 on tobacco). Eiuletyn Instytutu Ochrony Roslin (50): 245-252

Lycopersicum virus 3 appeared on tobacco in Poland in the post-war period in the south of Lublin province, since when it has spread, causing serious economic loss in a number of areas. Investigations were made in 1969-70 on the vector of the virus, which is Thrips tabaci Lind. It was found that populations developing on infected tobacco differed from those developing on other plants both in population structure and in the morphological characters of the nymphs and adult females.
