Studies on the transmission of Mulberry dwarf disease by a vector leafhopper, Hishimonus sellatus Uhler. I. On the acquisition of the causal agent in non-viruliferous vector

, : Studies on the transmission of Mulberry dwarf disease by a vector leafhopper, Hishimonus sellatus Uhler. I. On the acquisition of the causal agent in non-viruliferous vector. Annals of the Phytopathological Society of Japan 37(2): 136-140

When H. sellatus adults that were not carrying the mycoplasma-like organism believed to be the cause of the disease were fed on infected seedlings of Morus kagayamae, the shortest period required for acquiring the organism was 3 hours.
