Studies on the use of Ampicillin in cats

, : Studies on the use of Ampicillin in cats. Berliner und Munchener Tierarztliche Wochenschrift 87(Heft 23): 453-456

Ampicillin was given to 14 cats: in i/m doses of 50 mg/kg or 25 mg/kg; in s/c doses of 25 mg/kg; or in 25 mg/kg s/c doses followed, 4 and 8 hrs later, by two oral 25 mg/kg doses. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC values) for the serum of each of the cats was estimated in serial dilution tests, using 224 strains of bacteria isolated from diseased cats.
