Studies on the use of rice husks in the vegetable nursery. I. Methods for mixing rice husks with the soil

, : Studies on the use of rice husks in the vegetable nursery. I. Methods for mixing rice husks with the soil. Bulletin of the Fukui Agricultural Experiment Station (9): 41-59

The optimum husks to soil ratio was 7:3 and superphosphate was added. Because of high permeability and low water-retaining capacity of the husks/soil mixture additional fertilization was required for seedlings at later stages of growth.
