Studies on the use of the injectable preparation Dovenix (nitroxynil) for treating bovine fascioliasis

, : Studies on the use of the injectable preparation Dovenix (nitroxynil) for treating bovine fascioliasis. Tierarztliche Umschau 26(9): 442-444, 446, 448-450

When 373 cattle were injected s/c in the dewlap with nitroxynil at 10 mg/kg body on two occasions at a 10-week interval, the number of animals excreting Fasciola eggs was reduced from 285 (76.4%) to 18 (4.8%). Lumps formed at the injection site when nitroxynil was given s/c in the neck; there were no other side-effects.
