Studies on the utilization from forest wood residues. Report 1: Study on the chipping from forest wood residues

, : Studies on the utilization from forest wood residues. Report 1: Study on the chipping from forest wood residues. Research Reports of the Forest Research Institute, Korea (19): 83-90

Tabulates and discusses data from a trial of chip production with a portable chipper from wood residues and small logs of Quercus aliena, Q. serrata and Pinus densiflora left in an exploited logging area at Kangneung. The results showed that barked chips for paper-pulp and unbarked chips for fibreboard manufacture could be economically produced and supplied at distances of up to 500 and 240 km respectively.
