Maize was sown between late Mar. and early Aug. and cut before tasselling or at the early milk-ripe stage. Daily increases in fresh forage yield at tasselling declined with delay in sowing. It was concluded that maize could be used continuously for fresh forage from June to Oct. if it was sown at intervals from Mar. to Aug.
