Study of the role of mycorrhizae in the uptake of radioactive P by Pinus radiata

, : Study of the role of mycorrhizae in the uptake of radioactive P by Pinus radiata. Pubblicazioni del Centro di Sperimentazione Agricola e Forestale 11(2): 119-123

P. radiata seedlings were grown initially on nursery compost, transferred, after removal of soil from the roots, to distilled water in the laboratory for 5 days, and then placed in a dilute solution of labelled monammonium phosphate for 24 hours. The P content of the treated seedlings was determined (by a method described) and compared with that of control seedlings grown in the same way but kept, after transfer to the laboratory, in distilled water only.
