The influence of SADH (Alar) on growth and yield of young apple trees

, : The influence of SADH (Alar) on growth and yield of young apple trees. Frugtavleren 3(10): 395-397

Two and three-year-old trees of Close (on MM.106) and of Red Gravenstein (on MM.106 and M.9) were sprayed with SADH at 0.1, 0.2 or 0.4% at 2-3 weeks after full bloom. Shoots on sprayed trees were shorter than on unsprayed trees, but various factors affected the results. Sprayed trees were generally shorter. Yields from trees on MM.106 were increased after 1 or 2 years' treatment, but this was not always the case with trees on M.9.
