, : The localization of genes for certain ear characters of the spring wheat Zlatka by monosomic analysis. Genetika a Slechteni 10(4): 267-278

Analysis of a monosomic series, produced by crossing Zlatka with Chinese Spring monosomics, confirmed Sears' location on chromosome 5A of the gene controlling the suppression of the speltoid ear form. Club-shaped ears depended on genes on chromosomes 4D, 6A and 6B. Ear length was polygenically controlled by genes on ten different chromosomes. The homeologous groups 1, 2 and 6 are involved in the increase of ear length, with two genes acting in each chromosome, i.e. 1B, 1D, 2B, 2D, 6A and 6D.
