In a review of breeding work at the Moldavian Institute of Irrigated Agriculture, details are given of the best varieties bred there, such as the tomato varieties Moldavskii rannii Teplichnyi 200 Rannii 83 and Novinka Pridnestrov'ya (Novelty from the Dnestr), the cucumbers Odnostebel'nyi 33 Moldavskii 12 and Teplichnyi 40, the peppers Novogogoshary and Moldova 118, and the onion variety Dnestr.
