, : Zinc depletion and repletion in bones and liver of growing rats. Archiv fur Tierernahrung 24(4): 283-298

A diet with 19 or 2.2 mg Zn/kg was given to 54 rats from 21 days old. They were killed after 2, 4, 10 or 30 days on the diet. In a second experiment 114 rats 18 days old were given a diet with 1.2 mg Zn/kg for 14 or 29 days after which they had a diet with 12 or 14 mg/kg for 15 days or a diet with 96 mg/kg throughout to appetite or pair-fed.
