Zinc metabolism and milk yield of cows after stimulation of carboxylation processes

, : Zinc metabolism and milk yield of cows after stimulation of carboxylation processes. Sel' skokhozyaistvennaya Biologiya 6(5): 756-759

3 matched groups (i)-(iii) of 12 Russian Black Pied cows received during a 45-day preliminary period a common customary ration supplemented for group (i) during a 150-day experimental period with 25g/100 kg body wt. of a NaHCO3/Mg/Mn/Zn supplement believed to stimulate carboxylation processes (for composition and method of feeding of the supplement see DSA 33, 2727); group (ii) received the Mg/Mn/Zn part of the supplement but no NaHCO3; and group (iii) continued on the basal ration.
