A study of carriers of Campylobacter fetus among calves on farms affected by an enzootic of vibriosis

, : A study of carriers of Campylobacter fetus among calves on farms affected by an enzootic of vibriosis. Veterinariya, Kiev, USSR (41): 23-26, 114

A study of preputial and vaginal mucus samples from bull and cow calves on 4 farms affected by vibriosis, and 3 farms free of vibriosis, failed to reveal the presence of vibrios. Vibrios were not isolated from testes and epididymal tissue of these bull-calves at castration. However, strains of Campylobacter fetus intestinalis were isolated from bile of calves and pregnant cows on affected and non-affected farms.
