Amino-acid composition of some fish helminths

, : Amino-acid composition of some fish helminths. Lososevye Salmonidae Karelii Vypusk 1 Ekologiya, parazitofauna, biokhimiya: 144-151

A strong qualitative similarity was observed in the free and combined amino-acids of Triaenophorus nodulosus, Eubothrium crassum, Ligula intestinalis, Proteocephalus exiguus, Schistocephalus solidus, Raphidascaris acus, Azygia lucii and Echinorhynchus salmonis and also between the amino-acids of the parasites and their host tissue. The implication that the antigenic structure of parasite and host have become adapted to each other during evolution is discussed.
