Ammonia treatment of straw

, : Ammonia treatment of straw. Report on straw utilization conference Oxford, 24 and 25 February 1977: 25-31

The method of treating straw with ammonia to increase its value as fodder and feeding trials using straw treated with ammonia are reviewed. It was concluded that the fodder value of treated straw was a little lower than that of ordinary hay, but straw intake was lower than that of silage or good hay.
