, : Betanal mixtures promising for weed control in strawberries. Grower 87(1): 23-24

Betanal E (phenmedipham) at 7 or 9.8 litres/ha plus Actipron (a self-emulsifying oil) at 5.6 litres gave good control of 16 weeds in strawberry crops, depending upon the rate of Betanal E and stage of weed growth when treated. The oil itself had no effect on the crop but when it was applied with 9.8 litres Betanal E there was a transitory increase in strawberry leaf yellowing. The oil Fyzol 11E did not differ in effect from Actipron when added to Betanal E.
