a. Studies on the biological control of pathogens in the Plant Pathology section (93-111) include that on crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaciens) by A. Kerr, K. Htay & W.P. Roberts. This technique, developed at the Institute, is being used commercially in NZ and the USA as well as in Australia and could also be applicable in Greece and the UK according to the results of lab. and glasshouse trials in those countries.b.
