Biological and economic characteristics of a mutant of J. H. Hale (Prunus persica L.)

, : Biological and economic characteristics of a mutant of J. H. Hale (Prunus persica L.). Godisen Zbornik na Zemjodelsko sumarskiot Fakultet na Univerzitetot Skopje, Ovostarstvo1973; 25: 195-203

A somatic mutant of the peach J.H. Hale, found in 1962 in the orchards of the Radmilovac Experimental Station, is described, on which the fruit ripens 25 days later than in the original variety. It has longer, slightly narrower leaves and bears fruits which are lower in total sugar and dry matter contents than those of J.H. Hale but have slightly greater invert sugar and total acid contents.
