Citrus production in Mexico

Citrus are the most important fruit grown in Mexico, both on total area and market value. In 1970 this value represented 22% of the total provided by fruit cultivation. At the world level, Mexico occupies the fifth place among countries producing lemons and limes and the seventh place among those producing oranges and mandarin - tangarines.
