Comparison of the kinetics of expulsion of Trichostrongylus colubriformis from previously uninfected, reinfected, and vaccinated guinea pigs

, : Comparison of the kinetics of expulsion of Trichostrongylus colubriformis from previously uninfected, reinfected, and vaccinated guinea pigs. Journal of Parasitology 63(4): 761-762

Groups of 10 guinea-pigs were immunized with 2,000 Trichostrongylus colubriformis 4th-stage larvae or vaccinated with 100 mg protein of a soluble extract of such larvae or left as untreated controls. After 28 days, when natural immunity had terminated the immunizing infection, all 3 groups were challenged with 2,000 T. colubriformis larvae.
