Considerations on the genus Xiphinema Cobb, 1913 (Nematoda: Longidoridae) and a lattice for the identification of species

, : Considerations on the genus Xiphinema Cobb, 1913 (Nematoda: Longidoridae) and a lattice for the identification of species. Cahiers ORSTOM, Serie Biologie, nematologie 10(3): 303-327

The genus Xiphinema is reviewed and the 8 subgenera created by Cohn & Sher (1972) are rejected. A list of 74 valid species is given. X. amarantum is considered a synonym of X. sahalense, and X. truncatum and X. sandellum are considered as species enquirenda and species incertae sedis, respectively. X. ifacolum, X. loosi, X. denoudeni, X. macrostylum, X. vulgare, X. yapoense and X. longidoroides are considered valid.
