Discusses studies since 1966 in different regions of Rumania, mainly in coppice stands, and makes recommendations on the choice of treatment for different site qualities (retaining Oak and Beech on the best sites), the conduct of fellings (noting that alternate clear-strip fellings on the contour have proved unsatisfactory in practice), and planting methods.
