Copper in sugar cane soils

, : Copper in sugar cane soils. Turrialba 26(3): 302-307

Copper added to the soils was preferentially adsorbed by the pH dependent charges, which in Sao Paulo soils are mainly due to organic matter constituents. A fraction of the added Cu ions forms very stable complexes or chelates, and the recovery of the Cu adsorbed with 0.05 N HCl solution was not quantitative in most cases.
