Cubed complete rations for lactating dairy cows

, : Cubed complete rations for lactating dairy cows. Journal of Dairy Science 60(12): 1921-1931

Production by cows fed on cubed complete rations as compared with the same ration components given separately as long hay and concentrate was estimated in 2 experiments. The cubed feeds reduced milk fat content in both experiments and total fat production in one. Solids-not-fat were slightly more on the cubes. Lower efficiency of feed utilization for the production of 4% fat-corrected milk was evident for cows on cubes.
