Of three varieties of Phaseolus mungo, three of Vigna sinensis, two of Ph. aureus and two of Cajanus cajan grown in rice fallows during 1974-75, Ph. mungo 'Khargoan 3' V. sinensis 'C152' and Ph. aureus 'Local' and C. cajan 'T21' gave the highest yields.
