Diatoms associated with salt-marsh pools that support the breeding of the salt-marsh mosquito, Aedes sollicitans (Walker) in the State of Delaware, U.S.A

, : Diatoms associated with salt-marsh pools that support the breeding of the salt-marsh mosquito, Aedes sollicitans (Walker) in the State of Delaware, U.S.A. Nova Hedwigiarecd 1977; 26(2/3): 317-339

Detailed results are given of a study of the diatoms inhabiting salt-marsh pools that support the breeding of Aedes sollicitans (Wlk.) in Delaware Bay, USA. Collections twice weekly from June to August in 1967 at 2 sites on the western shores of the bay led to the identification of 140 species belonging to 28 genera at one site and 118 species in 28 genera at the other.
