Differences in the anatomical structure of the bark of two Larches

, : Differences in the anatomical structure of the bark of two Larches. Lesnoi Zhurnal (5): 22-26

Compares the anatomy of the bark of Larix sibirica and L. gmelinii, taken from shoots 1-2 years old and from the stem (mid crown, mid height and b.h.). Data are tabulated on the thickness of the whole bark, the outer periderm, primary cortex, and phloem, and on the dimensions of the sieve elements, and the number of rays and of cells with crystals per mm2 in the tangential section of the phloem.
