Eclampsia in the bitch


, : Eclampsia in the bitch. Journal of Small Animal Practice 17(12): 793-798

On the basis of a study of the literature and of 19 new cases of eclampsia in dogs, the aetiology, clinical picture and treatment of the disease are discussed. Average plasma calcium concentrations in 17 affected bitches was 6.16 mg/100 ml against normal levels of over 9 mg/100 ml.
