Effect of fat feeding on complex lipid synthesis in hamster intestine

, : Effect of fat feeding on complex lipid synthesis in hamster intestine. Gastroenterology 68(4 Pt 1): 708-714

Male golden Syrian hamsters of bodyweight 100 to 130 g were fed on Purina Lab Chow with 4% fat or the same diet with additional maize oil 20% by weight of diet. Feeding was for 1 week and when the hamsters were killed postprandially, the intestine was divided into 4 segments and homogenates of the tip and crypt preparations were made for enzyme estimation.
