Efficacy and economics of anthelmintics-phenothiazine (ICI), Neguvon (Bayer), thiabendole (MSD), Nilverm (ICI) and Rametin (Bayer) in growing lambs

, : Efficacy and economics of anthelmintics-phenothiazine (ICI), Neguvon (Bayer), thiabendole (MSD), Nilverm (ICI) and Rametin (Bayer) in growing lambs. Indian Veterinary Journal 53(9): 672-676

Phenovis (phenothiazine) at 600 mg/kg body weight, Neguvon at 50 mg/kg, thiabendazole at 50 mg/kg, Nilverm (tetramisole) at 15 mg/kg and Rametin (naphthalophos) at 50 mg/kg were each given to a group of 20 lambs with 500 or more nematode eggs per gm of faeces and subsequently whenever the group's average egg count exceeded 1,000/gm. 4 lambs died in the Phenovis group, 2 in the Thiabendazole group, one in each of the Rametin and Neguvon groups and none in the Nilverm group.
