, : Flavored vitamin A-enriched oil for malnourished children. Philippine Journal of Nutrition 29(4): 142-147

The 33 children convalescing after severe protein-energy malnutrition were studied for 2 to 4 weeks. All were given the standard diet treatment and some were given a supplement of oil enriched with vitamin A. Oil had energy 30.8 vitamin A 700 iu/teaspoonful. Children 1 to 3 years old were given 4.3 or 6.4 teaspoonsful and those 4 to 6 years old 5.2 or 7.8 teaspoonsful daily, rounded to the next spoonful or half-spoonful for convenience and to allow for spillage or leftovers.
