Fleas (Siphonaptera, Insecta) of small mammals from seven localities in eastern Denmark

, : Fleas (Siphonaptera, Insecta) of small mammals from seven localities in eastern Denmark. Flora og Fauna 82(1): 11-18

Host-flea relationships are discussed for each of the 12 flea species and their 7 hosts, from investigations in Denmark in 1963-67 in which 585 fleas were collected from 314 live-trapped small mammals. Ctenophthalmus agyrtes agyrtes (Hell.) comprised 71% of all fleas and was present on 78% of the mammals. Two species of flea are reported for the first time in Denmark.
