Further studies of the cariostatic properties of tin (II) and oat hulls in the rat

, : Further studies of the cariostatic properties of tin (II) and oat hulls in the rat. Journal of Dental Research 53(6): 1398-1403

Weanling male rats were divided into 6 groups of 30 or 31. One group was fed on an unsupplemented cariogenic diet (A) and the others on the same diet supplemented with ground oat hulls 10% and Sn2+ (15 mg/kg) in the chloride dihydrate or the gluconate, as follows: chloride (B), gluconate (C), oat hulls (D), oat hulls and chloride (E), oat hulls and gluconate (F). After 56 days the rats were killed.
