Germination and seedling vigor of six range species in relation to moisture stress and temperature

, : Germination and seedling vigor of six range species in relation to moisture stress and temperature. Mesopotamia Journal of Agriculture 8(1): 35-40

Seeds of Atriplex canescens, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Panicum antidotale, P. coloratum, Sanguisorba minor and Lolium perenne were germinated in petri dishes in solutions of mannitol with concentrations adjusted to give osmotic pressures of 3, 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15 atm. Control seeds were germinated in water and all dishes were held at 20 or 30 deg C.
