Heat test as a method of predicting heterosis and general seed viability

, : Heat test as a method of predicting heterosis and general seed viability. Metody otsenki ustoichivosti rast k neblagopriyatnym usloviyam sredy: 71-77

Seeds, seedlings, tissues and cells of heterotic hybrids of maize, tomato, cucumber, onion and other crop plants have been found to show a higher heat resistance than those of nonheterotic hybrids, the semilethal temperature being 2-3 deg C higher in heterotic hybrids.
