Tested against Arizona hinshawi, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus vulgaris, Streptococcus faecalis, S. agalactiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus hyicus, trimethoprim was 2 to 4 times more active (in terms of minimum inhibitory concentration) than diaveridine.
