Influence of age of host plant on the expression of acquired local and systemic antiviral resistance induced by treatment with trichothecium polysaccharide in N. glutinosa

, : Influence of age of host plant on the expression of acquired local and systemic antiviral resistance induced by treatment with trichothecium polysaccharide in N. glutinosa. Current Science 47(5): 168-170

Nicotiana glutinosa plants, treated with a polysaccharide produced by Trichothecium roseum (T-poly) 48 h before inoculation with tobacco mosaic virus, showed a significantly greater reduction in virus lesion count in the 35- and 50-day-old groups than in older or younger plants.
