Influence of the composition of the dietary protein supplement on the digestion and absorption of protein in the small intestine of pigs

, : Influence of the composition of the dietary protein supplement on the digestion and absorption of protein in the small intestine of pigs. Acta Veterinaria, Yugoslavia 25(6): 287-299

Three types of protein supplement were investigated in combination with maize (60%), barley (10%) and wheat (10%): A, fish meal (4%) and soya bean oilmeal (12%); B, sunflower oilmeal (8%), soya bean oilmeal (12%) and L-lysine (0.1%); C, sunflower oilmeal (10%), soya bean oilmeal (5%) and L-lysine (0.3%). The diets were given to pigs with duodenal (2 animals), jejunal (1 animal) or ileocaecal (2 animals) cannulae.
