Inheritance of some quantitative characters in a diallel experiment of six rice strains

, : Inheritance of some quantitative characters in a diallel experiment of six rice strains. SABRAO Journal 7(2): 217-224

Four characters were investigated. Four dominant genes were found to control days to heading and only one to control each of the characters plant height, flag leaf length and spikelet number per panicle. Overdominance for all characters was observed.Kaohsung possessed excess recessive genes for all four characters, whereas IR8 had excess dominant genes for all characters except days to heading.
