Isoproturon combined with neburon, an interesting prospect for autumn weed control in cereals

, : Isoproturon combined with neburon, an interesting prospect for autumn weed control in cereals. Compte Rendu de la 9e Conference du COLUMA: 436-447

Experiments between 1971 and 1977 have shown that a mixture of isoproturon and neburon has distinct advantages for autumn use in cereals since the two components are complementary: in dry conditions isoproturon compensates for the low availability of neburon, while in very rainy weather neburon persists after isoproturon has been leached away. In general a rate of 1.5 kg/ha of each product controls most weeds including late-emerging Alopecurus myosuroides.
