For 11 male and 14 female Horro calves at Holetta and 22 male and 25 female Boran calves at Adami Tulu resp., birth weight averaged 22.4, 19.9, 24.0 and 23.0 kg, live weight at 60 days of age 47.3, 44.8, 46.4 and 45.0 kg, live weight at 180 days (weaning) 115.9, 106.8, 101.1 and 93.6 kg, and daily gain from birth to weaning 519, 483, 428 and 389 g.
