Managing population densities of Heterodera rostochiensis

, : Managing population densities of Heterodera rostochiensis. Journal of Nematology 8(4): 280

Population densities of Heterodera rostochiensis were monitored for 4 years in field plots growing either a resistant or susceptible potato cultivar, or oats or treated with carbofuran at 5.6 kg/ha. Various combinations of the treatments were used. The most effective means of suppressing the populations was by growing the resistant potato; carbofuran was the least effective and the non-host crop, oats, was intermediate.
