Performance of the maize 'Piranao' (brachytic-2) and others of normal height at different levels of nitrogen and plant population

, : Performance of the maize 'Piranao' (brachytic-2) and others of normal height at different levels of nitrogen and plant population. Experientiae 20(2): 17-52

In a study comparing Piranao with AG257 and Centralmex at population densities of 50 000 to 125 000 plants/ha and two nitrogen levels, Piranao had similar yields to AG257 at all three sites involved and higher yields than Centralmex at two sites as well as a high degree of tolerance of high planting density.
