>176 000 samples of 56 types of food and food ingredient, including >90 000 samples of milk and milk products, as well as 330 samples of 7 types of food additives were analysed in 1976 by the Swiss Public Health authorities. Extracts from the annual reports of the 20 cantonal laboratories give detailed tables of results for each class of product.
