Results of further investigations on the nature of biophysical environmental conditions and their action on the vital functions of Lymantria monacha L. (Lep., Lymantriidae)

, : Results of further investigations on the nature of biophysical environmental conditions and their action on the vital functions of Lymantria monacha L. (Lep., Lymantriidae). Anzeiger fur Schadlingskunde, Pflanzenschutz, Umweltschutz 48(9): 136-139

Previous findings on the nature of zones of earth radiation ('Reizzonen') in forests in Austria and on the favourable effects on Lymantria monacha (L.) of offering food from such zones to larvae collected from normal zones, and food from normal zones to larvae collected from radiation zones were confirmed by further biological and physical investigations. It was found in addition that the exchange of food was only effective if begun during the early larval instars.
