Seed irradiation with gamma -rays at 2000 R enhanced the earliness of the early tomato Pioneer 2 by 18.6% and its overall yield by 14.0%, whereas a similar treatment of the Triumph proved ineffective. The capsicum Kurtovska Kapiya did not respond positively to gamma -irradiation at 1200 R.
