Results of glyphosate trials in forestry

, : Results of glyphosate trials in forestry. Proceedings of EWRS Symposium on Different Methods of Weed Control and their Integration, Uppsala, 1977 (Volume 2): 15-23

The use of glyphosate for the control of forest weeds is discussed. In various trials, glyphosate applied in forest plantations was effective against broad-leaved weeds, shrubs, most grasses and also Pteridium aquilinum and was consistently superior to 2,4,5-T. Glyphosate was also effective in unplanted areas, the best results being obtained with 1.8 kg/ha applied in August.
